My Sixth Thursday Thirteen

In keeping with a Christmas theme for this last Thursday Thirteen before Christmas, I decided to do the Christmas movie thing.

MY THIRTEEN FAVORITE CHRISTMAS MOVIES

White Christmas (1954) - I loved THE MUSIC!!!

A Chipmunk Christmas (1981) - again, what kid that grew up in the 80's and didn't like A Chipmunk Christmas?

Christmas With the Kranks (2004) - even though Tim Allen drives me nuts, I loved this movie.

Home Alone (1990) - I always wished my parents would go on a vacation and forget me, so I could harrass some criminals.

Meet Me In St. Louis (1945) - obviously because I love Judy Garland AND St. Louis!

Prancer (1989) - I loved the story!

Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer (1964) - I've always loved Rudolph, I adore that darn reindeer.

A Christmas Carol (1951) - what a story!

The Bells of St. Mary's (1945) - just a pretty movie!

A Christmas Story (1983) - what kid that grew up in the 80's didn't love this movie? "You'll shoot your eye out kid"!

Christmas Vacation (1989) - that poor cat!

Elf (2003) - "he's an angry elf" - maybe he's a south pole elf!

How the Grinch Stole Christmas (1966) - he he, that was a funny one.

Hehe. I LOVE A Christmas Story. That is one of my all time favorite movies! Ralphie reminds me of my husband. :)

My 13 are up.

I like White Christmas too, but I think I prefer Holiday Inn more. No It's A Wondeful Life? I have to admit that I am probably one of the few people in the world that does not like Home Alone.

My 13 is up.

Great list! I made my husband watch White Christmas with me this year...I think it was torture for him! I love that movie, though. I got it in a box set with It's a Wonderful Life ~ not one of my all time favorites...but I guess it's a classic. :)

Great movie list. I love christmas movies. Happy TT and Merry Christmas!

Amy Ruttan said...

I did a TT like that a couple of weeks ago. I know it's just not Christmas without A Christmas Story, National Lampoon, The Grinch and White Christmas.

I also remember one with Dudley Moore who took over Santa's Job and made shoddy toys. I can't remember the name. It was a good one too. Happy TT and Happy Holidays.

Anonymous said...

Thanks for stopping by. You need some pop corn to go with all those movies.

I think I watched it during Christmas when I was a kid but I don't think it was a Christmas movie per se... I remember watching a Chipmunks movie where they find their mom.

Rebecca said...

I really enjoy that movie, but always have to cover my eyes for the "frzen tongue" scene.
