My Eighth Thursday Thirteen

THIRTEEN OF MY FAVORITE RESTAURANTS

1. Pizzeria della Piazza in St. Louis, Missouri - this place has the BEST pizza in St. Louis. It's on the Hill (our Italian neighborhood). If you ever visit St. Louis, you can't miss this place.

2. Gino's East in Chicago, Illinois - J and I never miss Gino's when we go to Chicago.

3. Cite in Chicago, Illinois - this is the fanciest place J and I have been in Chicago and we loved it. You eat looking out over the Lake and it's just awesome.

4. Bahama Breeze in St. Louis, Missouri - they make one of my most absolute favorite sandwiches ever - the Cuban. Yummeh!

5. Bartolino's in St. Louis, Missouri - just a very special place to J and me.

6. Chris's Pancake House in St. Louis, Missouri - the absolute BEST breakfast around. J and I adore this place. It's like an old-time diner, so it doesn't have a website (I don't think).

7. Duke's Canoe Club in Waikiki, Hawaii - best place to get a Lava Flow and best breakfast buffett on the entire island of Oahu!

8. Hula Grill in Waikiki, Hawaii - great dinner food and spectacular seating and views (beautiful).

9. Eat-Rite in St. Louis, Missouri - it's a hole in the wall, but if you've ever been out partying in St. Louis and need something to eat at 3:00 in the morning, you can't pass up an Eat-Rite Slinger. One of the best places to go after bar-hopping AFTER baseball games.

10. Some little Mexican restaurant on the North Shore, Oahu - this was the best Mexican food J and I have ever had. We can't for the life of us, remember the name of the place, but it was soo good. mmmm

11. Chevy's in St. Louis, Missouri - three words: Taste. Of. Chevy's.

12. O.T. Hodge Chili Parlor in St. Louis, Missouri - all I can say is that this is where J and I went together the night we met. A large group of us had gone out all night (to the landing and strip clubs) and J and I were the only ones that were still up to hanging out afterwards. So, we went to breakfast at O.T. Hodge. A very special place to J and me.

13. Ed Debevic's in Chicago, Illinois - just a all-out fun place to eat. If you're into smart-arse remarks and dancing and singing while you eat, then Ed's is the place for you. We had the best time here (we go to Ed's every time we go to Chicago).

Guys, I'm aware that half of these restaurants are in other locations as well, but I am only choosing the ones that I have, personally, experienced. There are so many other restaurants that belong on this list, but I'd be here all night if I listed them all. As a matter of fact, I could probably come up with 13 favorite restaurants in Europe alone. Maybe next time.

You've made me hungry! ;) Bahama Breeze is the only one I've heard of, but I've never been there. If I ever go, I'll have to have the Cuban in your honor.

Happy TT!

Thanks for stopping by my TT!

Your list has made me hungry. We have (or had; not sure if it is still open) a Debevic's here. I was only there once it was GOOD & fun! I was at a similar place in Minnesota years ago called Froggie's. It was even better!

Thanks again for visiting my blog.

Mmmm, it's almost my lunch time and those places sound yummy.

If you are ever in London, Ontario you must experience Joe Kool's for the weird atmosphere and Michael on the Thames for the singing waiter and Divine Cuisine.

Happy TT!

I don't think I could ever come up with 13 favourite restaurants.. We go out to dinner with friends every Saturday night, and we're always at a loss when it's time to decide where to go. :)

Happy TT!
Thanks for visiting mine!
